BOW-A-WOW-WOW-WOW!
I can’t barking believe how cold it’s become, once Grandpa Human has his ‘3 o’clock tea’ both myself, the silent Staffie and the cats all know it’s time to get indoors or at least next to the kitchen door until someone hears a loud meowing or my barking.
Last weekend we did a short walk in memory of human’s friend, Jess’s dog. Baloo was a little black rescue dog who sadly lost his battle with a canine cancer a year ago. So all of Jess’ friends all did a walk in memory of Baloo and posted photos on social media. Unfortunately human couldn’t take all 3 of us on two leads (small human has a lead too attached to a small bag on her back), so it was decided that we’d all walk, toddle and run around out garden a few times. But as you know, nothing goes to plan here! As the chickens had been out and about in the garden earlier, both myself and the silent Staffie decided to rub our heads and roll in as much chicken poo as was canine possible. We ended up having to have a bath (well 2 baths to be honest) due to being rather smelly and sticky. But I’m sure Baloo would have been very proud of us as we know he was a avid supporter of rolling in poo as well.
It was our annual vet check and we where complimented on our shiny coats, overall health and the fact we’d both put good weight on (human says it’s down to our Pero biscuits, which is also clearly visible on my 5 rescue feline siblings. As you know we all enjoy both the Pero range of Dog and Cat biscuits available, so much so, there is normally a scuffle for the first to reach the bowls.
Only a few quick litter picking done this month, mostly filling a bag on the way to the shops or to dog friendly cafes. The recent one we’ve discovered is called ‘Buffers’ and it is next to Pwllheli Train station. Homemade food, proper coffee and all canines get a free sausage cut up in a proper dog bowl plus lots of fuss from the staff there. Barking about food…we’ve really enjoyed watching the ‘Great British Bake Off’ on the telebox, especially when the food came on, if they did a canine version, myself and the silent Staffie would gladly test all entries.
The downside of October has been the start of the horrible noisy and frightening fireworks you humans insist on having. The noise scares us all especially our small human. Wish you’d use the silent fireworks that are available, like in Italy.
Keep safe everyone
Woof again soon
