“Keep It Simple.” – It’s usually my motto. Lately though it’s been wishful thinking.
We have a foster, his name is Merlin, a 12-year-old ex racer who’s moved here from France. Sadly, a good friend has become terminally ill and can’t look after him, so he needed to re-home all of his ageing dogs. Since this friend of 20 years was the person who bred my first Siberian husky Thor, and was inadvertently responsible for the wonderful change of direction and focus that my life has taken since, how could I refuse?
A rather wild eyed, nervous, too old to race, too young to stop exercising dog has now moved into the bottom kennel. He seems to start howling at 4am and stop only to sleep a while and to eat Pero’s new Grain Free Super Sensitive recipe that’s ideal for dogs with sensitive stomachs. Currently the howling resumes at 10pm. Maybe he’s nocturnal?
